Colour pop!

This month's style tip is about injecting a splash of colour into your home. Think fuchsia pinks, acid greens and grapefruit against a backdrop of clean eggshell and chalky greys.

Harlequin 'Tembok'

Sanderson - 'Bellflower'

For a low commitment take on this month's style tip, why not try a bed throw in Harlequin's 'Tembok.' Pick out the softer pinks and blues for colour blocking scatter cushions. For a fun and playful interpretation, try Sanderson's 'Bellflower' This naive floral design will make a striking feature wall, whilst its charcoal background will avoid a colour overload! To really make the most of this month's trend, keep your backdrop in white and neutrals, allowing the colours to sing. Go for gloss finishes on furniture to create a sleek edge. (All of the above fabric is available from Sasha Interiors, Hereford.)

or...

Personalise it!

Try covering mini canvases in two or three of your feature fabrics or wallpapers, and hang them in a chequerboard effect to tie the room together. Try adding statement vases in your accent colours to continue the colour theme.

Experiment with:

  • Lighting - soft lamps or industrial style pendants will change the atmosphere of your room
  • Covered buttons on cushions and soft furnishings to add a contrasting polka dot effect.
